Atlanta History Center Wedding at the Swan House || Taylor + Kristen

I’ve never been to Paris, but I feel like the Atlanta History Center and it’s Swan House is about as close as I’m going to get for a while. Taylor + Kristen got engaged in France in front of a window that overlooked the ocean. So after their engagement session at the beach with me, it was only fitting that they have a French inspired wedding. However, this was not the original plan. Covid made Taylor + Kristen postpone their wedding for next year, but they couldn’t wait any longer to say I do. They put together “minimony” in Atlanta last minute, with lots of help from their families. They wanted to get married, but also wanted their family present for this special moment.

When they asked me to photograph it I was beyond thrilled and honored to be there for them! Nothing means more to me than a couple who asks me to shoot their wedding after shooting their engagement session. They really wanted their photos to focus on the emotions they were feeling and how the day felt to them. Small weddings are my absolute favorite, because you’re able to spend more time with those closest to you and make memories. A huge bonus is the ability to be more flexible with the timeline and go at our own pace. Intimate weddings tend to be less stressful and more about the couple. Their first look really helped alleviate their nerves too.

It was a hot July day, but the sun was shining so beautifully and we couldn’t have been happier! There are so many beautiful spots for photos in this unique, Atlanta wedding venue. The light was so much fun to play with as we chased it up the stairs. (Fun Fact: This venue was featured in the Hunger Games: Catching Fire!)
