Walton Plantation Wedding, Laurel Hill || Richard + Presley
The most beautiful day with Mr. and Mrs. Moore.
This day was so beautifully wholesome. Family and friends showed up with an outpouring of love and it was so amazing to document. Richard and Presley didn’t want to get married at a venue where just anyone could get married. They wanted something unique and special for them, so they held the event at a family home in Laurel Hill. Honestly the most beautiful property I’ve shot at around there.
When I went to check it out with Presley, we found this patch of high grass that I knew would look pretty at sunset. We convinced her dad to not mow it before the wedding, even though he said it was just weeds, haha. Our time for portraits came with the most gorgeous golden light, and the weeds did not disappoint.
The most special moment of the day though that gave me literal chills was their first dance. Presley is an incredible singer and songwriter, so she wrote a recorded song for them to dance to. It was a complete surprise for Richard and when the song came on everyone went silent.
You could feel the love in the words she wrote as she sang the song to him over her own voice while they danced. Truly the best first dance ever.
