Intimate Wedding at Inlet Beach, 30a || Scott + Darby
Scott + Darby’s wedding day was such a beautiful celebration of their love. It was an intimate, laid-back ceremony with about 10 guests and it was just so special to witness and capture. These two love going to the Sweetwater Brewery 420 Fest every year, but since it was cancelled this year they got married on April 20 (4/20) instead. They even found a house with a 42 street number. Now that’s commitment to the number! This house was absolutely perfect for their needs. It had a gorgeous view of the water and beach below from the vantage point of a grassy backyard atop the hill in which it stood. I imagine their nighttime dinner views from the reception on the back porch were breathtaking.
The families of the bride and groom were heavily involved in the day, from helping out with decorations to Darby’s dress being designed and created by her mom and herself! Each detail was intentional from the prayer blanket that they stood on during their ceremony to the retro jacket that Darby wore. She and her mom worked on sewing her dress together and Darby added the blue ribbon and veil to her hat. It was all definitely unique to them and their style.
My favorite moment of the day was when we took couples photos. The sunset was absolutely perfect that day and Darby gave me a prism to shoot with too. I got lots of cool effects from it. After the sun had set we went back to their ceremony setup again, because I love
This was also the first time some members of each family were meeting each other and the focus was quality time with one another. Capturing the smiles and laughs that were exchanged was so touching. The moment Scott saw Darby walking down from the house is a personal favorite.
